NZ Gold Merchant 50th Anniversary
Celebrating 50 Years of NZ Gold Merchant ✨
One of the absolute highlights of last month was being part of the grand opening and 50th anniversary celebration of NZ Gold Merchant, held in a beautifully restored heritage building in Onehunga.
The event, brought together seamlessly by the talented team at Lime Events, was such a special occasion to be a part of. The heritage building itself added layers of history and charm, the perfect setting for a company that has spent half a century dedicated to something as timeless and precious as gold.
For me, it was pure magic, anything to do with gold is right up my alley! ✨ From the warm glow of the space to the energy of the people gathered, the whole evening felt like a celebration of craft, longevity, and beauty.
As part of the celebrations, I also had the joy of sharing a kintsugi workshop, introducing guests to the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with gold. It felt especially meaningful to weave kintsugi into the evening, a practice that celebrates imperfection and resilience. Seeing people engage with the process and discover the symbolism behind it was incredibly rewarding.
It’s always inspiring to see businesses that have not only stood the test of time but have also continued to grow, evolve, and remain relevant across generations. Being there to witness this milestone was a reminder of the power of heritage, creativity, and vision.
A huge congratulations to NZ Gold Merchant on 50 incredible years, and thank you to Lime Events for curating such a stunning evening.
