Sleeping Herons

Like many creatures in Frostyland when the Herons sleep in pairs they absorb energy from each other. This particular piece was inspired by Ema’s recent trip to India where Ema and her artist friends completed The Painted Peacock Project in Udaipur, Rajasthan. While doing this project Ema noticed at the City of Lakes (Udaipur) many large trees full of nesting Herons, which is a very spectacular view. The jewels surrounding the Herons in this piece were also inspired by this trip. Like all Ema’s work you will also find her hummingbirds.

20% of all works sold as part of The Painted Peacock Project goes to KidsCan here in NZ and also back to Badi Primary School who we worked with in India.
