Washi Sketch Project #3 Peony & the Southern Cross

ORIGINAL - Only one available

Peonies in Japan are one of the most featured flowers which represent feminine beauty, but also wealth and nobility of spirit. And they also feature a lot on their traditional woodblock prints. I really enjoyed sketching this one.

In this sketch I have added our southern cross and the little Japanese characters to the right says Ema Frost. - Visually I like the look of Japanese characters as to me it's like a picture/art element that adds more dimension and character to a piece.
