Now you can learn this art and appreciate the imperfections that become it's beauty! I'm now taking workshops for this beautiful process. Come learn the magical art of Kintsugi with Artist Ema Frost in this new Workshop. You can bring along a piece of your own pottery to restore in this beautiful style. (I'll also have a few as back up if you don't have your own piece) (All Levels)
While in lockdown 2020 Tauranga City Libraries were sharing Bubble Life stories, which I was one of them... check it out.....
Inspired by the Stepwells and rich colours of magical India, Stepwells are architecturally beautiful pieces of art that were once used everywhere in Rajasthan where water was scarce.
Books are super cheap here in India so definitely buy a few.
I’m not a reader but when I travel I make myself buy books that are usually about or set in the country I’m visiting. It makes the stories more vivid and magical as you can understand and imagine the settings. I even go as far as to dividing up the pages for the total amount of time I’m away so that I must complete the book before my return, as as soon as I arrive back home, day to day life sets in and the magic has gone a little. I find it very inspiring allowing my mind to get lost and creations can begin.
I'm often asked where I have bought various clothing & accessories, so I've decided this time to bring a small collection back from India with me! These pieces are all very limited as they are either one off or there are only a few of each piece so be quick if you see something you like.
Sleeping Holi Hine is now situated in the magical Sculpture Gardens on the Kaipara Coast. I actually grew up not far from here and my best friend used to live within walking distance, It feels like I've done full circle, I have not been out this way for years.
This project has been a long process and very challenging, which I thrive on, as you learn so much when you have to come up with new and different ways to get things done. Art is constant problem solving - always thinking outside the box, I can not tell you how many hours/months I’ve spent researching, talking, meeting with people, testing, exhausting all options to come up with the best solution. I’ve spent a lot of energy on this which makes me really value and appreciate her and the art itself.

I am super excited to be part of the Power Jacket Exhibition, coming up this August. Commemorating 125th Anniversary of women's suffrage. 50% of Lake House’s profit from this exhibition will be donated to Women's Refuge New Zealand.

I'm so excited to present the first stage of this new release, a collaboration with one of my fav artists Okedoki (Canada) and myself, Ema Frost (New Zealand)
